Nomenclature of Moods

Objects of Affection: a three-person, one-night-only show

June 28, 2025

There'll be artist talks at 7pm and opportunities to interact with the work throughout.

You should come! It'll be fun!

I'll be showing Nomenclature of Moods, a vibrant series of genre paintings that form a conceptual atlas of emotion, color, and memory, asking, "Can a still life feel mischievous? Can a color feel saucy? Can a figure feel liminal?", comprised of eight pieces (ink, paper and oil glaze) mounted on thick walnut blocks with accompanying walnut bound books wherein moods and memories are associate with each color .

Co-exhibitors are

Eric Henry, showing Lost & Found, a series of photographs examining the beauty and meaning in what society often discards—both materially and metaphorically.

Martha Sue Coursey , showing Living Works (Version 4) which continues her evolving series of assemblages incorporating imagery from San Francisco’s Excelsior District, Tucson, and Spain. The pieces are sewn, collaged, and adorned with unexpected materials like jojoba blossoms, lime thorns, and spider silk.

You can even RSVP
I hope to see you there!
